The obvious solution deserves respect. It is usually obvious for a reason.
It also deserves suspicion. Obvious answers often preserve the assumptions already embedded in the question. The view of the problem is localized to the individual stating the problem and the individual recieving the problem statement. Both have very different understanding of the problem, the desired solutionn and the context in which that solution is provided.
Thinking beyond the obvious is not theatrical creativity. It is careful reframing.
